MEHMET TURAN PHOTOGRAPHY
I've been taking photographs for a very long time, in fact it has been over 20 years. Everything in fact started by holding my mom’s Revueflex and then couldn't lay it down.
Although photography has a big & important part in my life I don’t do it professionally. I would definitely would like to do that one day but being not professional gives me the freedom to shoot when, what and how I want to do it. As a result instead of following my passion, I'm trying to carry it where ever I go.
I enjoy conceptual photos with people in them. Therefore shoot anything I find esthetically appealing. So many of my friends have accepted to be my models as well as Ice Model Agency continuously supports our shoots, some other people contacted me from this website or modeling websites such as Model Mayhem. Since my photos are based on people without them I wouldn’t have a portfolio at all. In addition thanks to my dear photographer friends Gökhan Çelem and Ufuk Sarışen who gave all kind of supports from opening their studio to providing the assistance at the shoots. Most of the shots have their names under as well as mine.
And finally my dear beloved wife Hande, who supported my all the way with her encouragement, modeling skills and even assistance even when I need help most. She’s my muse and some of my shoots and light setups had been tried with her and perfected. Hope you enjoy the photos and any type of commentaries are welcome.
